Hello and thanks for looking at my website.

I am an artist who finds inspiration through culture and the weirder aspects of life. I predominantly use oil paint, ink and charcoal in my paintings however I will also use anything that I think may add to the artwork. I work spontaneously and with passion and use my fearlessness towards rule breaking to create playful and dark pieces. These are layered, chaotic, textural and filled with gestural mark making. I hope to draw the viewer in by hiding details and making the many under-paintings as important as the final image. Through this often destructive process, I try to make sense of contemporary society, express myself and create something meaningful and aesthetically pleasing.

In addition to creating art, I enjoy photography and experiment with digital, 35mm and polaroid formats. I am a fan of all things horror, video games, cycling, motorcycles, music and spending time with my family.

I work full time as a social subjects secondary teacher and live in Scotland. I welcome commissions and have prints available via Etsy. Instagram has all sketchbook and historical work.
